OOS MOGA

I think we should both light our Talons on fire and buy a new bike!
Ignorance is bliss. I'm not setting foot on another bike until I'm ready to buy something new. I'm enjoying my bike. Got an air fork used. Gonna buy a dropper. Then it'll just be replacing as I break stuff. I just keep telling myself my bike is fun and fine, which it is. Gonna ride and build up my skillz on this shit goblin, then be worthy of a fancy new bike.

You are making sense.... and we don't tolerate that around here!

I would only say this one thing, don't upgrade your bike, keep it rideable and thats it. Don't get a dropper or anything else that won't follow you to a new frame, its not worth it.

Good advice if a new bike is in the very near future.
Not sure if a new bike is a while away. What is it worth to you to be able to enjoy your current bike a little more?
Personally, I would upgrade with used parts here and there.

I think you and Paul need to settle this and take your Talon's to Mountain Creek this summer

come out to retro ride day, to be announced soon, and find out for yourself?
My 26r is slackish with a 1450mm wheelbase, haha virtually impossible to OTB...

i'm dealing with 110mm stem, and rigid. thinking body armor. i better drip some lube down the housings, otherwise i'll just pick a gear with a zip tie.

okay, I have a decree for the Allaire ride
Look at what you got and move down the choices if they do not apply to you (leave out road bikes and anything 650c/700c)
1) < 26er or unicycle
2) 26er rim brake
3) any 26er
4) SS in any wheel size
5) Any rigid bike
6) I only own one bike

Need opt7.... only have 1 working bike that is not 650c/700c

BS, you are clearly #4 or 5 with the Talon
Make it happen for April 6/7

@ridgehog- Retro ride bro
Fake news! I loaned out the Talon rear wheel.
Also... this Sunday, I received the adaptor for the TA to QR but realized I ordered the wrong size. Got 12mm to 9mm and should have ordered 15mm to 9mm. Placed order last night and since its Aliexpress… I wont have it until next year if I am lucky 😀
In addition.... headset for 1-1/8 steer has not arrived.

I like dropling the seat out of the way but also putting it up for propped pedaling. My trails are all up down up down, so I think the dropper will be worthwhile and make riding more fun. I'm at least a full year off from buying a new bike. To me, the dropper is a must as I hate getting off and on the bike to move the seat around, but I really hate trying to go downhill with the seat fully up.
