OOS MOGA

We talked about doing an OOS TM last year. Let's make it happen for 1-2 parks this year. High Mt comes to mind, anywhere else?

good idea - i'd recommend coordinating with the JORBA rep, so the racers in the group can get their paydirt points,
and the work gets "on-the-record" for volunteer time. Seems HM gets alot of the OOS traffic. As does the tourne,
where the there is a secret beer source tucked in the woods.......

We can talk off line bout this

HM is prolly not the best place to have a group of guys with tools heading in. I agree with @Patrick coordinate with Jorba to help and to learn on proper trail maintenance. I for one... know nothing in this respect.

My understanding is that HM is part of the NYNJ Trail Conference but may be a Jorba park soon.

On the other hand, the white trail at Ringwood has taken a major beating very recently and is going to need some love.

Deer Park and/or Allamuchy always need support as do most other parks. I'm obviously a bit biased. HMU if you want to coordinate something at either park. @Apache1 is the JORBA lead for both parks.

I’m interested. I have to see what my kids baseball schedule is that day. What time were you thinking?

I'm open. Between 9:00am - 10:00am typically, but can do earlier if needed. Depends on what we're doing too. Double will take a bit longer.

@serviceguy update on the fug por favor!

I had no time to spend on the Fug unfortunately. So far the only parts that have gone on the frame are the rear shock, BB, bash guard and rear wheel. Going back to the garage to press the headset cups in, what could possibly go wrong with that?

We're dead to him he's started OOS, out on superboost where he rides with other superboost riders

No, I had to deal with the wrong size seatpost I got from you. You can have it back, I remembered incorrectly the size of the adapter that I had, thankfully I found a butchered 27.2 seatpost that I forgot all about and could use that instead.

Let the record show it wasn't my fault

Looks like you guys need someone to use as an excuse to stop and rest. I might be able to pull this off. Keep me posted please.

@qclabrat good luck and hopefully not much of the route is heading west - wind is howling already

The wind actually wasn't bad at all today. A couple spots where it was open and you'd get hit with a stiff headwind but they were relatively short. The side wind on Ocean Ave was a little sketchy though because the gusts would push the wheel around if you weren't paying attention. At least with 60mm carbon wheels it was. Not sure what Walter is running.

Some Tylenol for the knee after Henry Hudson & Hartshorne.... last of their hottest brew at the moment...
