Actually, there's a discussion around here about that. You should have taken a shower (not a hot shower) and wipe your skin thoroughly with a wash cloth and soapy water, that would have removed the oil that deposited on your skin 'before' it became active.

Yea use dish soap after you think you might have been in poison ivy. It will break down all the oils unlike the soap we are supposed to use.
Hopefully the itching dosen't get too bad.

Since I became aware of this video, haven't had anything significant, just a small spot here and there.

this is the right answer for it, probably get a shot and be significantly cleared up in 24 hours.

cold showers after contact with PI, it closes your pores so your skin doesnt absorb the oils as fast. A hot shower opens the pores and lets the oil in and makes the reaction happen faster. Then use dish soap ('brown' soap, bar laundary soap works too, as does my wifes stupidly expensive facial wash/makeup remover) to clean it off. Buy a bottle of that ivyx i linked and start using that, its the closest thing i can find to the ivy block i used when i was a kid/teenager camping with the scouts and it worked back then, so far so good on this new stuff.

just go to any urgent care/redi med kind of place. that looks incredibly bad, prednisone will definitely help, but that is going to take a while to clear up, it will take forever if you don't get the steroid! good luck, I hate that shit.
