Stephens 100k Race May 2021?

Hey guys. My team and I are looking at adding a 3rd race to the Team HB Hilltop calendar. Through our wanderings we have been checking out Stephens State Park. We already have the Lucky's Revenge race August 1st, but for those that want more flow and less rock, we will be holding the Stephens 100k/66k/33k race on May 16th. We have a pretty amazing 20 mile loop worked out that will include two aid/water stations. We are working on getting the logistics and bikereg together but in the meantime Save the Date! As soon as we have the reg site up and running I will post more details. There is lots going on in the early season, so I hope you can put it on your calendar and come on out and support local cycling. Lets get psyched for 2020!
 
ah crap. I’m volunteering at the XTERRA race at Wayway that day. I’ll do it for sure next year if you have it again and announce it earlier.
 
Sounds awesome! Unfortunately for my racing aspirations its the same weekend as our ESC enduro at Glen Park.

The weekend of the race there are festivals, fondos, enduros, and tris. The other weekend had direct conflicts with endurance and xc races. So yes, conflicts abound but we'll give it our best shot. We basically had two weekends that would work and this seemed to be the better of the two conflict wise and staff wise. I guess it's a good sign for the cycling scene being that we have so many events out there!

That went downhill fast...

At Team HB Hilltop we had a meeting of the minds and looked at the whole climate surrounding our possible race dates. In the end the buy in for the race is fairly steep and with everything spread so thin locally, we don’t want to strain ourselves, our volunteers, or damage relationships with other promoters that are trying to grow the local race scene. With this we are withdrawing our race for 2020 and fully plan on an amazing event for the spring of 2021.

In the meantime Lucky’s Revenge will happen on August 1st. Be there!!!
