State Park Closures AND Reopenings!

Certainly not good for all our mental well being. Quads are already ruining much of Ringwood. I sure hope this does not open a free for all.
Concerned about the same issue at Wayway. Not to mention illegal trail building potentially shifting into high gear.

For what it is worth, I have not seen much damaged singletrack from motorized vehicles at Rwood or Wayway as of today. But I have seen lots of evidence of moto and quad traffic.

Stevens. Left work early.

There is a much different account of what happened from the "band": https://www.app.com/story/news/2020...ual-pink-floyd-show-attorney-says/2955880001/

And since I live in Rumson, am I a "rich fuck"?
Firstly, I make jokes. Don't be offended, I've no doubt you aren't an elitist prick who looks down on the commonfolk who don't live in Rumson or hold a certain social status. But I've witnessed the certain attitude that can infect those from old money towns like rumson as well as other places having worked blue collar jobs in the past. I'm no socialist who hates rich people. I hate elitist entitlement that sometimes stems from them. I live in the white trash town of Leonardo. I'm not white trash (sorta). Is what it is man.

The person who started this sounds like he had no ill intentions...or he's lying through his teeth because he fucked up and got caught and doesn't want to deal with the social consequences. We'll never truly know. I'll choose to believe his statement, because why not. What is still troubling is your jerkoff townspeople yelling "fuck the police". In my estimation there's 2 populations with the balls to do some bullshit like that: poor people with nothing to lose, where those same townspeople would likely call them "animals". And rich white people who know they can't be touched. Oh some fines? that means nothing to them and they know they won't be harmed. I'll apologize for the wording. I should have said rich fucks from rumson, singling out those involved vs labeling the town as such. I've met some really cool people from rumson. Be safe. If you see a guy at Hart's on a green hardtail with a blue helmet when it is open again, say hi...that's me.

There are some that say the parks are closed because it is now warm enough for the bats to be out.

My neighborhood has plenty of trails in the adjacent WMA. I'm good.

Riding your bike on the road will be next. As soon as enough roadies riding in herds are seen road riding will be barred next.

Will the Ryerson school lot be closed and/or yellow police tape and/or actual police be blocking this RW entry?

Also - have NY State parks been closed, i.e. Sterling Forest?

What about gravel trails like Sussex Branch that pass through parks?

It is probably safe to say that every location where you can park a few cars will be closed soon enough. The DWG will be beyond insane this weekend.

If people want to be able to continue parking at Ryerson once this parks closure ends, I'm going to recommend not parking there now.

NY and PA parks are currently still open.
