    Greetings from sunny Oaklyn!

Good Luck and have fun Tim, Dont worry about what your riding as long as it rolls - get satisfaction when you start passing guys on bikes that are way beyond their abilities

    Skis or snowboard?

Skiing or Snowboarding I concur - Snowboarding is definitely more difficult that skiing the first few times, however, if you want to ride a snowboard - keep with it. After a few days, it will magically click and you will be hooked. My point is to choose what sport you think you want to go...

    29er Tubeless Tire Recommendations

Thank you for all the recommendations! Thanks to all - this site has been very helpful. Considering the state champ and DC29 (overall 2nd in standings) both use the Bonty3 - I will have to go this route when I figure out the combination on my wallet

    Chimney Rock Conditions 10/9/10?

Supreme Conditions C Rock has been pretty dry all summer long. It has been so dry, even when we get signicant rain - it actually makes it a bit better - better grip. Even after the Northeastern today and friday - i bet saturday will be fine.

Ride Safe everyone (Broke my clavicle)

I crashed on the same bridge on 8/29 I have to agree with you. I crashed on what i believe to be the same bridge heading toward 27 (approx 4 feet and it goes left to right). took a bad line when I got off the bridge to the left and my front tire got caught up. Looking back, I feel I got lucky...

    Clipped In vs. Flat Pedals

clipped in for general cross country riding - i think that clipped in is the only way to go for anyone somewhat serious about riding/training. it does not take long to get comfortable with them and you can always clip out like I like to do around tight turns

    conditions and rocks at CR

Chimney Rock has it all Do not be scared of Chimney Rock - It has something for begineers up to strong intermediates - It is slick after rain but otherwise very tolerable - There is packed dirt, some embedded rock, loose rock, log crossings, and ramps. There are several hills to ride up or down...
