Tree has been cleared!! We ( Al, Mick, Rudy and I ) did some TM last evening with the brush hog on Red from the east picnic side up to the tennis center. Cleared margins and cut back overhead branches.

I rode the park yesterday and it's in good shape. All the trimming we've been doing helped a lot. There are two trees down on Mud Bog. There are a few overgrown spots here and there which we will address shortly.

Mick and I were able to get out there at noon today. Bugs were not bad at all. The two big ones are cleared. Took 2 hrs and in and out. We cleaned up a bunch of other small stuff and widened margins. That included a few standing dead trees that were rotten.
No Elves were harmed!

Al reported a tree partially blocking upper blue where we just did TM!
The open space the pic is the margin not the trail bed.
I got out there today and cleared it. Cleaned up a few other things in and out.
Oh did I mention it's HOT? Congo hot and bugs!
No after pic, but it is gone.

Just a heads up. There is construction happening at the rowing center. There is a detour around down the gravel road and into the woods there.

In other news, we have a bridge! The late, bouncy bridge has been replaced! All of the blue trail has been cleared in the past 3 weeks so go hit it.

Thinking of bringing my daughter here. How many miles of trails are here? Where would be the best parking to get the most out the ride. Shes just starting, so it will probably be around a mile mile ride.

I started my 10 y.o. Grandson riding there. I always park at the boathouse lot. If you check the Mercer County website, there’s a good map for the trails. It may indicate hiking but those are perfect for young riders. The trails begin on the left side of the volleyball area.

The park is mostly in good shape. A couple of bushy areas here and there. Tree down on Son of Blue. And tree down on Orange right by the Quaker bridge Rd lot.

Al, I'll get out there tomorrow and clear them. Will post pics. Every time I ride SOB I have been looking at that tree and wondering when it was gonna break!

Grail, East Picnic to Tennis center, Marina to West picnic and Pax Twist are all a little overgrown. Tree down on Grail.
