I ride with someone that keeps cans of seltzer in the frame bag.A sore back award?
And when I ride with my DC teammates, also add at least one 12 oz. "roadie" for a mid-ride beer break.

I should have a shifter battery ready to go.Seeing this gave me a good reason to empty out the Camelback. Not shown is the 3L bladder or the 3.5 rock-hard Nature's Bakery fig bars that have been buried at the bottom for who knows how long... and a zip-lock bag of TP.

Too much? Definitely. But I also need to add some spares that have been used along the way: various zip-ties, a derailleur cable and a 2032 battery.
That, that is too muchCoffee bike.View attachment 268284

I'm the complete opposite.I rarely ride the road any more...
This is about where I’ve landed these days too, though I don’t enjoy the bottle on my back. I’ve been using a hip pack for the last year which is surprisingly comfortable.I went from a giant backpack with water bladder and a ton of stuff that was rarely used (and hurt my back!) to just a seat bag with bare minimum: multi tool, CO2, plugs, tube, levers, and that’s it. Bottle in the jersey and one in the frame for hydration. Much better!
