Commuting/blinking lights

Greetings, I hope this forum post finds you well. I thought i posted this question in the past, but I went through like a decade of posts to no avail. My new job now affords me the luxury of being able to bicycle to work. Most days its light out when I leave, but some days its still dark. Whats a good rechargeable front and rear light combo that I could use while it's dark to see the road, but also something I could use to be seen on the road as well. Thank you.

Regards.

I have a few rechargeable rear LED lights. I don't really have a preference other than make sure it uses a common USB charging cable as some of the older ones I have use some oddball USB ports. I think all of the newer ones have USB-C ports.

For a headlight, I just use one of the Niterider Lumina lights I have. They don't blink, but they seem to be bright enough to get drivers' attention and put out a strong enough light to see by on the road during the rare occasions I'm riding at night.

This is the best non-radar taillight on earth. Headlights pick whatever you thing is cool, cars will blind you with their high beams no matter you ride so you won't be able to see anyway 🤣

For the rear you want something you worry will give people seizures. . I use this:

For the front I use a niterider 1100 (mine does blink). Overkill for daytime but I have the light and mount so may as well

so we need to buy a new bike again?

Gosh, lights have evolved exponentially since early 2000s.

I give my kids husky brand rechargeable led flashlights and bar mount. One can light up the whole backyard. Different brightness and focus/spread the light. Just easy usb c

I know not bike specific but it’s stupid simple

I say be dorky and get a little hi vis.

Lol no. Im down to two bikes and zero motorcycles. I dont mind the hi vis stuff, its just the days I need to be in at 5am (or earlier) that I need some lights for. Easy ride, 1.2 miles, 3 turns once I roll out the driveway.

I have whatever front/rear combo was at Dick’s in 2020. I bought 2 sets. One front light stoped working last year, but otherwise worked fine until then. The rest are still going, no issues (knock on 🪵).
