Car-spotting thread

So while I dislike most things on facebook...I found something pretty funny....the "boomer boards" fb group.....Car show pictures of people and their stupid, pretentious sign boards telling you a whole bunch of useless info.....

For example....

Not sure that’s how that bike rack is supposed to be mounted all I could imagine is the rear window blowing out.

Sunday morning on the way to my gravel ride. Mustang with coyote package. Of course after he saw me take this picture he did mustang driver thing and launched it after weaving around the car in front of him.

Ironically that car with the bike on the back ended up in the same trailhead parking lot as me on Waterloo road must have been NICA team practicing cause mom was driving.

Helped a long time family friend of mine buy herself a new car since she’s sending her 15 year old Santa Fe to her mom’s condo in FL.

She gave me her specs and did some previous test drives. Did all the research and legwork to find one and pretty much negotiated the whole thing over the phone after calling a few dealerships and getting some decent offers I combined the best one and told the one closest to me to match it. She came out from Staten Island to denville to meet me and picked it up Friday.

I negotiated $5000 off the $49250 MSRP for her. I did suggest she take the “middle value” extended warranty because she plans to hang onto this one for a while too and it stays in the driveway. It has a lot more features and stuff that can go wrong compared to the old car. I got them to take off about $700 off so it was about $1200. She was financing it over 5 years anyway so only added like $20 to the payment for some peace of mind.

Overall a good deal. I wasn’t thrilled with the rookie they used to show her the car post purchase he kept googling stuff on his phone until I had to go get the sales manager. I almost knew more than he did. That wasted 30 minutes but all the paperwork was done within about an hour or so.

Every fit guide say you can't safely use a strap rack on an Odyssey. 40% of the Odysseys that pulled into my lot still had one.
