Lewis Morris Conditions

Park is in good shape. Dry as expected. Keep an eye out for a trail maintenance day in Nov. hoping to do some shaping work on one way.

Trails were great for the little bit I rode tonight. Someone trimmed the field section of Green which was nice. The tree on Patriots Path is gone but the 2 on Purple North Loop are still there and there's a new one right at the loop start across both trails. I cleared a bunch of smaller stuff to make it passable. If work cooperates, I'll try to finish trimming Bombs Away this week. The section I already trimmed was so nice to rip down. Whatever those small trees are that get bright purpley red were peak today.

North Loop/Purple/"Tingly Trail" lower section got a major haircut today. Should be good until the spring. I'll see when i can get to the upper section (Bombs Away B-Line).

The Upper section was trimmed today. Rangers were also out clearing all the trees so this loop is primo now. If i'm leading a group for the upcoming group ride, we're definitely hitting this loop.

Thanks for this. How about the red circled section? I cut it down with a string cutter early in the season but it notorious for growing in fast. Is it clear now again?

Didn't look. I never ride that section of Blue trail above the green trail. I tried once or twice and it seems like a lost cause. Maybe this time of year you can make it passable but as soon as Spring hits it closes in and by Summer you can't even tell it's a trail. Even if it was totally clear, i dont find it any better/more fun than the Green option. I ride the loop counter clockwise and the fun starts where it says "Bombs" and you head down the Blue stuff. Saw a big group of mostly Ebikers (might have been Marty's Motown crew?) enjoying my work when i was about 75% done today. I hope they appreciated it.
