This rack is genius!

That looks like a series of frustrations.

I could be wrong but I would assume:
1) As you slide each bike the trucks will go sideways and the metal part will hit the inside of the wood and get caught and stop sliding.
2) As you lift a bike with a larger tire it'll stick to the hook and lift the assembly upward instead of coming out of the hook. Especially if you hang with the front wheel up. I have that problem enough with static hooks and front tires where I need to use one hand on the frame and the other on the front tire to maneuver it out of the hook otherwise it'll just flop and stay in.

Cool idea if you have a shit ton of penny boards just laying around lol. Wouldnt work as well with a standard width truck and normal wheels.
How he has the rails mounted is kind of specific too.

I think with a little ingenuity you could modify this design. Maybe trim molding as rails and these guide wheels with long nuts and bolts. You could dremel notches in the wood to keep the bikes from rolling into each other.

This seemed like a "stuff I already have lying around" sort of project for the original author more than anything. Content creators gotta create content. The Internet monster is hungry
By the time I buy the materials for a project and when I finally tackle the same project, said materials have already technically become "stuff I already have lying around"...not to mention the times materials were sucked in by a black hole so I had to go ahead and purchase them a second time!

I get this. 😆
