2025-26 snow report

Was hoping for something so kid can learn to board a bit. Anywhere more west got a little anything?

All we got was ice for a few hours

Went to KVSP and LewMo when it was sub freezing and they were icy. How is waywayanda, i'm sure it's icy too. You could have ice skated sussex branch it was miserable. I am not against going further away to look for 4" of powder or dry frozen ground, i just want to ride without making a mess or busting my own kneecaps.

Seems like South got more snow. Anyone near Allaire able to report?

The local golf course in Union County set up perfectly for skate skiing this morning. The base was hardpack/ice, which provided great glide and a fresh 2" coating of snow on top that allowed my ski to track. I got more glide then any nordic center I've skied. Hero snow, 4 miles from my house, for free.

The one thing I've learned from mtbing, sailing, skiing...you have to do it a lot to stumble upon the best conditions. Sometimes it happens when you dont expect it, which makes this shit that much more fun.

Is that Ashbrook or GH?

5-6” in Yardley
Went to nesh this morning. Maybe 2-3” when i started and 5+ in open areas at the end. All ridable on analog non fat however the snow was pulling down every small thing within 8’ of the trail and either had to dismount or get covered. Brushing these leaners was a shower of snow. Sleestaks were soaked in 15 min and switched to strumfist for the remainder. Was soaked at end.

I didn’t think it snowed in NJ anymore. Seems forecast shifted overnight we have at least 6” here im not that far away from matty a few towns over.

It’s my fault I didn’t drag the snowblower up front last night since they said 1-3” here originally. Time to fire up the machine.

@stb222 , pretty awesome to get out, dedication
So is today a 29+, 27+ or if fat bike 4" or all out float 5"?
About 6" on top of the Watchungs to morning. Looks like it's slowing right now. First order of business is to satisfy the short legged princess this morning for her AM rituals.
