Tossed the e-mail into my contacts on my phone. I figured if I was seriously injured that the only thing on my mind would be self-preservation.
I was more worried about getting the park shut down by contacting the wrong people in a less serious matter. Thanks. :)
If we were to run across a "sabotage" such as this, ourselves, who should our primary contact be? God forbid it actually bids us harm, but what is the course of action?
Remove it? Leave it intact until we can contact authorities as evidence? Take a picture or two, and remove it, to spare anyone...
Have you been properly trained on the appropriate situations on when to offer these to children? Will there parents be present? Have you taken the 30 minute long computer based learning course on how to properly peel and place these stickers on children, in appropriate places, to avoid lawsuits...
Jack of all trades.
Cashier, Customer Service, Unloader, Assembler, Maintenance, Electronics Associate, Sporting Goods associate, Automotive Associate, Lawn and Garden, Pets, Chemicals, Foods.
And yet, I make under $10 an hour. Yay, retail.
Can't wait to have a home of my own. I've always wanted a nice Koi pond.
Small koi pond in the back corner of my yard, surrounded by some nice plants and a cast iron bench with wooden slotted seats..
30+ LB 29ers.
Full suspension 29ers, with a center coil that doesn't adjust, and a seat that will bottom out on a roadside curb. 35 lbs. 65% return rate.
Hardtail, slightly better. They have a 50% return rate. Usually a busted rim, crappy derailleur blowing up.
Rigid. <10% return rate...
The police will keep people off the trails/out of the woods best they can until the event is all taken care of.
Taken from the page: "While at the Thunder in the Highlands event we ask that you remain in the designated areas which are patrolled by West Milford Police and State Forestry Rangers...
I have platforms on my full suspension bike, since it's what I'm most adventurous on, and more prone to taking risks/falls.
I have clipless on my rigid SSer, since it doesn't see drops like my fully does.
I have to wait until my car is back from the shop before I go and spend any extra money at the moment. That, and what I'm currently driving isn't allowed to get dirty. :(
I'll be sure to get it in some time before August.
The bike itself actually has less than 100 miles on it. (My SS gets a lot more use.) The middle chain ring is barely worn, but the chain itself does need replaced.
I'm really just wondering if that's really all that's needed for me to do a 1x9 conversion.

18 inch frame.
I'm not super bike savvy yet, but in the 2 years I've owned my Kona one20, I've never used the large (44t) and small (22t) center chain rings. I've only ever used the middle (32t) ring.

Go down Lower Chute to get your blood pumping first? Even if you cut off Lower Chute at the halfway mark and climb pavement back, at least you'll have some blood flowing. Regardless, that's still not an easy climb at any point of my ride.
You know those little cold gel packs that people use on their eyes?
How about a full upper body suit worth? Granted you would need some puncture resistant material, and plastic against the skin is a terrifying concept.
Also, the gel wouldn't stay cold for a full days ride, but it's an idea.
I finally get another free day off and would like to ride tomorrow morning, providing the weather holds off. Alas, we had a bit of a storm up here and was wondering how it typically drains overnight after a storm.
I figured with the heat we've had, the ground would soak it all up pretty...
My diet is nothing fancy. Oats/Granola for breakfast. Fruit as a snack. Lunch is usually some form of poultry, cooked in various fashions. Handful of various tree nuts for a snack. And vegetables/poultry/beef for dinner.
I don't weigh things out. Usually for protein I'll do a palm sized amount...
