“Best” Trail bike?

I agree.... I dont ride mine good, so i'm pimping it so it looks nice while I push it up most climbs
Pretty much my approach…

This bike needs the Orange Fox upgrade levers more than any other bike I've seen.
Actually it doesn't, I use silicon cover for the brake levers and they would be completely covered. Now, if you are aware of Fox Orange Suspension dials we can talk...

Don't know your timeframe for purchase but do demos or it gets expensive. A few years back I was riding a 120mm Transition but wanted more travel, CR is also my local park. Went to a 135mm Banshee then 160mm Orbea, which was too much bike. After that went backwards to a 100mm Pivot but ended with a 120mm Pivot. In the process demo'd about a dozen other bikes, not riding around a parking lot but on trails. On paper Ibis bikes were spot on for me in geo but on the saddle it just didn't work for me. I personally like the both the 120 Pivot and Banshee at Chimney but think I prefer the Banshee with the mullet setup a tad better for extra traction.

Got used to the mullet?

Thanks yeah I’m on an enduro bike now, feeling a little overbiked on the climbs and sharp turns I’m normally riding. Great on descents… the Ripley demo i did felt awesome, but haven’t tried others yet.

I sense a double entendre there but as English is only my second language (technically my third but I forgot all my French) I fail to catch it. Sorry...

muddled english - (or poor diction?)

examples

Jeet yet - did you eat yet
orange - aren't 'you'
lettuce - let us

also the punch line of the greatest knock-knock joke ever
