Cam phaser issues, turbo issues. The 3.5 is not a bad engine but the 5.0 is the way to go for long term reliability

I have 137K on my '14 F150 3.5 eco. Just had to do the driver's side turbo coolant line, but otherwise all good. 🤞
Well after a few weeks of traveling all over we finally done. It is probably one of the most painful processes looking for F150. Especially here in the north east even though it's the most popular vehicle. Tons of POS to sort through. It's also the most dishonest sport. We did well getting a replacement. Checked off all the boxes. It's a beautiful black metallic 5.0 leather interior.

Well, that jinxed it. Passenger side turbo coolant lines are now leaking. 🤬

Been looking at trucks for some time now, before our high mileage rusty Explorer dies. I’m now convinced that Explorer is never gonna die. Picked up this 2013 5.0 XLT 4x4 at the low end of our budget range. I think we did pretty good. It’s a solid truck, runs and drives great, no rattles or squeaks, needs a little tlc nothing major. Mostly just need to take the interior out, wash/ clean it and put it back together. Original owner was a smoker. It has the off road package but it doesn’t look like it’s ever been off road, has the towing package but the receiver looks like it’s never been used. Geeked 🤓
