i'm going to regret selling this but i am buying a smaller dual sport for more woods riding and, well, less dualing. per wife, the new bike represents n+2
16,179 miles
purchased in the spring of 2021 from the original owner with about 14,400 miles.
it had sat for a year or two before i bought it, so i got new tires, chain and sprockets, fuel filter (in tank), got the wheels balanced for road (removed rim locks), new plugs, oil, fork fluid; basic prep stuff.
haven't touched it since other than to change oil and clean the air filter. super reliable, comfortable, bad ass, and very fun.
IT. IS. TALL.
i think the seat adds even more height vs. stock. I'm ok with it at 5'11, i think the PO was shorter and not sure how he managed. It's been fine for me overall but can start to become quite a handful if you're doing anything more technical.
add-ons
Wings exhaust (friggin sweet)
Tank: rally raid evo 2 aux tanks, extra 9.5l (2.5g) of fuel. I keep them empty but they're still nice to grip the bike with your legs.
Renzaco Racing saddle, super comfy
HDB Highway DirtBike bar mount and hand guards, with riser (1.5"?)
Trail Tech Eclipse train light headlight. Front fairing deleted.
Perun Moto tail rack
skid plate (unknown brand)
rad guard (unknown brand)
regular stuff
Tires: Tusk (Rocky Mountain) Dual Sport, July 2021, ~1800 miles on them, still good
- the in-tank fuel filter was replaced July 2021.
- the fuel pump had been replaced/upgraded previously by the original owner, i believe this was a common failure point on these bikes.
- new Tusk lithium battery spring 2022
i can deliver within reason
