2016 Jungle Pre Ride!?

perhaps bear traps in the areas where people might dismount at choke points or if they decide to run-up hills.
(no ss hater).

Ok, weather permitting, we're going to a pre-ride on Wednesday, May 18. Meet at the gate at 5:45 p.m. We'll have someone to lead the Cat 1/2 course, and someone to lead the Cat. 3 course. If it (really)rains, we'll do it on Thursday. A little light rain won't scare us off. If we have to cancel, we'll post here, on Facebook, etc., etc., etc. Course map will hopefully be ready by Tuesday at the latest.

Also, because this year will be the 10th Rumble (wait - whaaat? 10 years!), we're giving away some good stuff as pre-reg incentives. Still working out some additional items, but they will include a $500 gift card to Town Cycle, 2 pairs of Shimano bike shoes - XC, winter, road - whatever you want in whatever size you want ... and hopefully at least one other big prize. Do the BikeReg thing, and we'll pick using the magical random number generator after pre-reg closes, and you can pick your prize up at the race!

I'm sure they aren't going to be killing it with a decent group showing up to learn the course. But, it should be faster than those looking to stop and stack rocks on the side of the trail 😉 I'll be there tonight.

NO Rock stacking tonight LOL. Haven't been riding much and really want to race on Sunday. I guess this could be my training ride if I make it.

It was cool to see so many out for the preride last night. Too bad my wheel didn't want to stay inflated. Thanks Pat for wanting to hang as I attempted to repair my tube. I did finally get it up and running and finished the loop. Those bugs in there were insane last night. Bring some spray for race day - or just don't stop 😉

i just drove by (well 287) from upstate NY - didn't even think to bring the bike and catch it on the way back.....
