Didn’t realize it was going to rain last night into this morning but I had planned to sleep in anyway so it didn’t matter. Was able to make time after the dog walk and before my youngest son plays at the town carnival later today.
Switched out my Vision rear wheel for the stock Bontrager one last night so I didn’t have any ride issues and to confirm that’s the clunking noise ( confirmed. Sigh. )
I had no real ride plan today just had to get back by 12 to have time for food and a shower. Legs felt good fatigue isn’t bad after yesterdays hard ride. I didn’t do a real
Proper recovery ride as @Norm very good recommendations but I kept all my efforts low and HR low as possible on flat roads.
Saw this kick ass Chevelle at a red light and was able to snap a pic after I gave him the thumbs up before he pulled away.
Super crowded today and pushing 100 degrees with humidity. Heat didn’t bother me much, but I took it fairly easy.
Weird, same ride I did A couple days ago but Strava reads 2 miles shorter and much more elevation. GPS really does not read the switchbacks well I guess.
Common story; kids, job and time for hobbies kinda disappears. Need knee surgery after 2018/2019 ski season. Decided then to get back on a bike and bought a giant fathom to help recover with goal of bike more. Started building strength and engine on the d&r canal. I’ve put a lot miles on that bike and ridden it at 6mile, Nassau, CR, Sourlands, creek, killington. Went to the pivot demo today and spent my first meaningful time on full suspension bike. Road the trail 429 all over 6 mile and spun around on a shadowcat. Didn’t fully realize what I was missing out on. Had so much fun. Now how to frame the conversation at home with a roof replacement in the near future?
