Today was a planned day to ride with a riding friend I haven’t seen in a while that moved from Bergen to Northern Hunterdon county. I made a loop that showed him some of my fav roads near his house but also looped back to my area to show him the way between my house and his.
Glad we started at 8am when we were finished at 11 it was getting toasty. Pretty sure I worked 3x as hard on this ride because we talked so much. Then my shifting got all fucked up the last 5 miles and I could not use the lowest 2-3 cogs so after the ride the road bike went to the shop. Lucky my gravel bike was ready but will try that bike out Sunday since it’s MTBNJ time at Nassau tmw!
Not much time for pics this is one from his nice .3 mile driveway. And one of my BEC SPK I picked up on the way home.

This was a get it done ride to the park. Not sure what was up today, but boy oh boy was there a horrid smell coming off the river. Maybe that’s why the number of people at the park was so tolerable

Went on a nice road ride this lovely Friday evening. The temps were pleasant and we were fortunate there weren’t too many cars on our route. I did experience what felt like a gigantic creature colliding with my ear and shoulder tonight. I was looking for evidence of splatter it hit me so hard, but I think the shock of it just caught me off guard. If I had to guess I don’t think the “bug” survived the collision.

Phew... worked a 14 hr day, raced home, ate dinner, rode. Ended at 11:59pm...I think my feet hurt more than my legs.

22/31: we got a nice easy ride in after I got up to NY. It was low to mid 80’s up here during the ride which felt like an ice box compared to home.

I rode by earlier and was just disgusted by the trash pile. Wasn’t sure what was going on, but I didn’t get as close a look as you did.

23 of 31. Started on the road. Decided to give the skinny tires another shot on the towpath (and to get away from the cars) and after the rain it’s rolling really well.
