2024 Garden Thread

Last time I was in the garden was Saturday, so of course...

That zuch was kinda hidden, so must've missed it and it got big. The summer squash went from way too small to too big in two days. The Unagi's from the garden pots are getting away from me too.

Curing the rest of the onions on the deck. Ate most of them already.

And picked concord grapes.

Hi neighbor, lol
Your squash is producing well late into the season. Is that normal?
No, not really normal and the plants don't look good at all. Maybe it's this summer squash variety because I haven't gotten a zuch in a while. They are likely done.

The tomatoes look great. I can’t find decent Jersey tomatoes anywhere locally. They’re all light red.
This is prime tomato, basil, and cheese season. I’ll have to hit some farm stands.

Tomatoes still going but may be showing signs of slowing down. Chocolate Cherries are more productive than the Sweet Million cherries for some reason. Pablanos look nice. Unagi cukes on the deck still going strong.

The Unagi cukes are a win. Between the pots on the screened deck and in the garden I got six over the last two days with more coming. The regular cukes in the garden are pretty sad, but I did get one today. Also, assorted other stuff (even a zuch, which got too big while I was away).

Benson next to pawpaw patch buddies that dropped yesterday.
Holy cow, I want! Where did you get those?

I haven't been around the Ringwood official patch during the last month, but the neighbor's wildly overgrown front yard patch is loaded. Sounds like this is a good year for paw paws.
