A few of the Monday ride locals are heading out for this. We are all doing the 50.
Anyone else in here going?
We’ll have to plan a 50 mile gravel ride to prepare.

You're really selling it!Did the 70 once with Mark Waters. Will never go back again. It's double the elevation of the HoH. I geared for HoH and got me ass kicked. Both Mark and I crawled by the Beer Station and never stopped. That's defeat.View attachment 256290
It was a great run event, great aid station in the middle and options to bail from there to do the shorter loops. Great cause and Dave, who runs it, is a great guy. Do it! Just be preparedYou're really selling it!
Might need to plan more than one training ride for that event 😉😜Also in for the 50

Maybe someone from here can set up a pop up beer station as motivation around mile 49. 😄
This is true, but in my experience 50 miles sounds way harder than it actually is. I know there's a ton of climbing too, so you just need to be careful how you "burn the matches" so to speak.Might need to plan more than one training ride for that event 😉😜

^ Brings the dumbest bike you could possibly bring to a 70 mile ride, then complains about it. Yep, that's Mitch.Did the 70 once with Mark Waters. Will never go back again.
