6 Mile Run Conditions

Trail damage aside, why would anyone purposely cover their bike in mud? Maybe it's just me but cleaning half of the park off my bike when I get home sucks, a lot.

Took a walk on Blue to White and back to Canal this afternoon. Poor poor 6Mr, it's still not ready to be ridden but I still passed a few riders today.

Warm temps and dry weather between now and Saturday. Wondering if it will dry out enough to be rideable. Saturday will be mobbed regardless of course.

A lot of it was tacky and some parts were completely dry but more areas were just super sloppy and just devastatingly rutted out. If this weather continues maybe by this weekend but others here would know better than I do on that. There were parts that were slippery just walking , can't imagine trying to ride through it.

Heard it was good today. Rutted to all hell, but dry enough to ride and just avoid the usual wet spots. Gonna check first-hand tomorrow.

I rode the canal side this morning. It's ready for riding. Go beat down the ruts!

crap, i forgot to mention - next person to head out should bring a hand saw. on the blue trail, about 100/200 yards away from the steel bridge crossing, there's a down tree. pretty small in width, but too large to drag out of the way.

also the bridge at blackwell mills road (the trail bridge) is lost to the unknown. floods must have deposited it somewhere.

Dave's pre-dawn dirt returns! I'll have a folding saw on me tomorrow - think that will do it? So at blackwells mills you had to go out to the road to cross the creek? Dang that's gonna kill my strava time!

folding saw should do it. its three main sections of a trunk - i think the largest is 6"?

yep you gotta take the road unless you don't mind wet feet. i'm guessing the water is still a little too chilly for that just yet.
