A gypsy and her list obsession

I think I'll revive this. Maybe it will encourage me to ride more.

In July 2023 I started having severe lower right back pain when I ride. Pain that gets intense enough that I just can't pedal through it. I have worked with 5 different physicians, a physiologist, a chiropractor, and two different physical therapists, all with no improvement. I have two herniated discs and three cysts on my spine, which contributed to be being misdiagnosed for 1.5 years. Every practitioner that I saw contributed my pain to the spine, but none of the therapy I have done has brought any relief.

I recently saw a sports physician who thinks the pain is from my SI joint, arthritis and tendon issues, not my spine at all. So, I now have hope! And I'm going to try to get back into riding shape.

I will follow this lead! Past two years I’ve been working my aging body with yoga and flatland riding. Need to get back to hills…

I may have asked you before..

Have you tried acupuncture??

My buddy Matt is in Frenchtown. I would give him a shot.

I thought I was going to start my summer of travels this week, but unforeseen circumstances brought that to a halt.

I did at least spend the weekend in Denver, celebrating Mothers Day with my eldest. I didn't get any real riding in, but we did go to a concert at Red Rocks which has been on my bucket list for a while now. That place is impressive! It's considered the only naturally-occurring acoustically perfect amphitheater in the world, in addition to its beauty and incredible views of Denver and the surrounding areas. Worth going to.
