A Wookies return.....

Hi all, posting to this thread just to get the word out ...

A friend of mine let me borrow his old Cannondale, just to ride around the neighborhood. Frank lent it to one of his friends - I don’t know who. Now the owner wants it back. It has great sentimental value to him, and I dread the thought of telling him that it’s gone. Does anybody know where it might be? Thanks!!! (the picture isn’t the actual bike – just the closest I could find on Google Images)

Hi everyone! Thanks to the generosity of the YDKSAMTB Facebook group, who donated a trailside bench, and JORBA, who funded a work stand at the Hospital Rd. lot, we will be riding out for Frank at Allaire this coming weekend. Apologies for the late notice.

The plan is to gather at the hospital road lot at 9am on Saturday, 10/18, say a few words about our favorite wookiee, then ride out to the top of the switchbacks where the memorial bench is being installed this week. Kudos to Allaire JORBA Chapter Lead @mike_243 for the build. @the Wookiee's wife will be there to install the plaque on the bench, then we'll split into ride groups and enjoy what looks to be some pretty great fall weather at the place Frank loved so much.

There is a NICA adventure day happening on Saturday too, and all of the group campsites are booked by either YDKSAMTB or NICA teams, so there will be a lot of energy and stoke in the park this weekend. Come by and say hi!

Additionally, plans are already in the works for an annual memorial ride/fundraiser in Frank's honor sometime in June. Stay tuned!

Fantastic!

I was using it fairly regularly a couple weeks ago. I just had surgery to remove part of my colon so it’s gonna be a couple of weeks before I get back on it. Just got out of the hospital on Saturday.
Hey @JakeP Are you making good use of Frank's Ebike?

@Patrick shouldn't this be on the event forum for more visibility?
