Allaire Conditions

Preliminary post for interest: Guided tour ride Feb 28th/March 1st?

I know its too soon to know for sure but was wondering if anyone would be interested to meet up and ride with me next weekend (prefer Sunday but could do Saturday if that's better). I've been there once before so I am familiar with the terrain but I don't know my way around obviously.

While I haven't been on the MTB for probably 10 months (mostly by choice) my fitness is pretty good and I am pretty comfortable calling myself an advanced beginner rider on my midfat Timberjack HT. Its about an 1.5 drive for me to get there so want to ride for at least about 2 hours at a moderate pace.

My plan B for a MTB ride next weekend would be LewMo which is only 20 min away from me (and assuming conditions allow).

Thanks Peeps!

ps. if we go on March 1st, it's literally one year to the day since I have been there LOL.

I’m happy to meet up, but the forecast is for around a foot of snow there this Sunday. We’ll be lucky to ride it before mid March.

A little pre blizzard recon. As you might expect, understanding the sunny and shady side of your neighborhood. And knowing Allaire higher drier. A mix of ice, slush and mud with maybe some exposed dry enough sections here and there.

Was hoping to get some but doesn't fit the fun factor for me. Nice waves and almost 50 so I'd opt to zip in to the wetsuit rather than clip in to the bike. Or go eat cheetos on the couch....

Enjoy the nice day while you can, no matter what you do!

Waves over bikes is an easy choice. And I love bikes.

Lots of stuff down on the trails but they are nice and dry. Cleared a bunch of trees on Tiger. Tree down on Operation (we saved one for you @Mitch ). 😁
