Anglesets, angle headaets

if you have a frame with the wrong head angle they are marginal, if not they suck.

Not as designed. It’s a compromise at best. Will you die? maybe not.

The dude at hardtail party swears by them... cant be too bad

If I could... I would install it on my niner but it has integrated cups

I had a works on my VanDessel. As advertised....it works. Have a Cane Creek on the Knolly. Did exactly what it was designed to do as well. And no, mine never creaked yet.

Not sure what you mean by a frame with the wrong HT angle. Why would making a frame 1 degree slacker suck? I'm guessing it would shorten the reach, which has been an issue with me for older bikes.

I recently installed a 1 degree Wolf Tooth GeoShift headset on a Transition Scout but running it +1 to steepen the HT angle. Rode it today and it felt great - although it was a fresh build and nothing to compare it to.

Wolf Tooth has some good information on how an angle set affects the geo:
