Any scotch/whisky drinkers in here?

My wife is more of a scotch drinker than I am. I've given her two different bottles of Macallan 18. One was under $200 the other a bit more. They now sell for $450 so she doesn't drink them because they're too expensive to replace.

Ok. My bad. I did not realize that was Gold. Omg. 200 is a great price. Does your BIL have any single sisters? Asking for a friend...
Enjoy.
He said the guy at the counter thought the $200 was a mistake and it should be a lot more.

I’m going down there for Memorial Day weekend and plan to kill that bottle.

Whats the story with this stuff? A few weeks ago I hosted a pregame at my house before a show at Starland. Being my 50th bday weekend a longtime friend gifted me this. I dont drink scotch, I barely drink beer anymore, I assume its a sipping drink? 20240620_205437.jpg

Yes - sipping. It is a very nice bottle of blended scotch.
some like it with a drop or two of water.
Better in winter.
Will never go bad, put it in the cabinet, and gift it to someone for their 60th

Found this going through mom's old liquor cabinet.
Upon further review it's unopened.
1947 stamped on the tax label. Which I believe is its birth date, not bottled date. So probably bought in 1959. Crazy, and still had the original paper packaging bag over it.20240620_205427.jpgScreenshot_20240622_042410_Chrome.jpg
