Beach Connector Progress

yeah it looks a little rocky but it looks like they pull out easily. Maybe it just looks easy to me bc i've been to a few Sourlands TMs recently.

I'd love to come check it out sometime. I'd probably need a tourguide tho.

Damn looks pretty good, just curious but wouldnt a bobcat get the job done a bit quicker? Get most of the stuff out of the way , and they arent too expensive to rent daily.

We did a large piece of this work with the ditch witch. It's only the very steep slopes and the areas we couldn't get the ditch with to that we cut by hand.

help is needed

There is still a lot of work to do, and more people are needed to make it happen. Please consider spending some time helping to build trails here.

Monday evenings

5:30 - dark
Please RSVP perez at jorba dot org if you plan on attending.
Please bring water and work gloves if you have them.
We will park along Frank St. at the intersection of Dickerson Mine Rd.

Thanks, we need your support!

Dickerson mine update

Did some trail work at Dickerson Mine the place is looking great, I met Mark, my respects go out to him, very dedicated. White trail is very nice and beach connector is awesome, reminds of jungle, techy, tight and a blast!

If anyone decides to ride here also consider helping out with trail building. The place has a lot of potential but needs volunteers.

hey into this place through boredom today and was wondering if the canfield entrance that jorba mentions is actually there? actually familiar with the rd and couldn't place it so i took a cruise down it today and didn't really spot anything but a gate to like a fireroad....guessing its better to access at the bottm....secondly there are major power lines running through there do the trails run through them?? thanks!!!

if you go in from the road on canfield, the new single track will be on your left, i think it's just past the gate but before the wood pile. you can also enter though the sand pits behind the Black River Park. park at the lot, follow trails to right, cross little bridge, make right at end, go though gate (around gate) up though pits, make left, go to orange. proceed up.

there's also a new parking lot on Frank Street you can start from. follow the directions above from Black River, but instead of going right up Orange, go though the next gate, hop on the road and follow it for about a 1/2 mile to the new parking area. proceed up.

solid directions man thanks

trails are great! thank you!!!

got in here tuesday morning; did white and the new trails up top by canfield avenue. nice trails to take my younger son on - Thanks to everybody for all this work!!!!

big barn owl flew right over me in the power line clearing.

didn't try the beach connector trail due to time; last year when I rode that it was very technical in a few spots ("technical" meaning too hard for me!).

this spot is shaping up nice and it is only a couple miles from my home. I will be bringing both my sons in here this year.

Just found out about this place. Haven't ridden out here yet but look to soon. Is there an updated map showing all the trails.

if the beach connector trail is orange, then yeah, it's pretty tech. it's a genius piece of trail though.

try to PM Jason here on the board. he's been a big part of creating all those trails. if anyone had an updated map, it's him. that said...it's pretty easy to navigate. white loop, teal loop (not sure if it's done yet) and the beach connector (orange).

yeah I'm pretty sure beach connector trail is orange. I helped Jason and Bob a couple days when they were building that trail (very minimal help!). it is an awesome trail, quite challenging for me.

this place is really shaping up nicely. many folks have put a lot of time in, and I am grateful for their efforts.
