Bike Trailer?

Been having a lot of fun pulling one kid at a time behind me on a ride-behind "Trek Mountain Train"

Occurred to me how much cooler, stupider, harder and more dangerous it would be if I could just load both of them onto a cargo trailer or something. And then they both hop out on the uphills and push me like a very tiny pit crew, or like if elementary schools had bobsledding teams... Anyway, something like that.

What you got?

We had a customer years ago (before the age of cell phones with cameras, or I would have a pic of this) that had 3 kids, one of them with special needs. He had a tandem which he was the Captain, his special needs 10 year old-ish son as the stoker, his 12 year old-ish daughter on an Adams trail-a-bike behind that (she kept an eye on the young man), and a Burley trailer off the back pulling his youngest 3-4 year old-ish child. The thing was MASSIVE! I always gave him a ton of credit for finding a way to enjoy cycling with the whole family (Mom was on her own bike when she rode with them).

This definitely figured in my decision making flow chart.

Really like the idea of the caravan, not to mention that's an inspiring story. I was thinking about a second trailer bike except figure we would only be able to move a few feet at a time before we all fell over and got injured. Repeatedly.

Putting a 2 wheeled trailer at the rear makes a lot of sense. I can feel the smoke coming out of my ears as this idea matures...

I have a this trek bike trailer. I live near Princeton.

IMO this is the ticket. They are pleanty of these out there for cheap and you can pay it forward when you are done (or use it for a cargo trailer). Many of us use Bob trailers to haul tools for trail maint; not sure I would put kids in a Bob trailer myself. However, to each his/hers own 😀
