Wow that’s an impressive 100 In this weather wow.

Crazy thing is, i naturally run hot. In 25ish° and above, im usually just out there with a liner and wool jersey. Perhaps there has been some advancements in material but those Gore Windstopper jackets worked awesome for what they are advertised to do. But man, did they make me way too hot. I need something where the air is continually cooling me down and my body is sorta fighting to keep warm

Lucky for me this is the first time this is a company holiday at the new job so I am
Off work. Plus the weather cooperated as long as you don’t mind riding in a cold wind. Plus we had no specific plans around here and I had as much time to ride as I wanted without a deadline. The sun made it feel much better than yesterday plus I dressed better for a longer ride.

Decided to change plans and skip the roads for gravel today. But my rear tire seems to be shot it keeps weeping sealant from the center of the tire all over the place. I was able to stop twice and shoot it with some CO2 to finish the ride. Glad I have the CO2 attachment which opens and closes with a little handle makes it much easier.

Gravel roads in bedminster are in prime condition some were so smooth it was like riding the road. Had more time but I didn’t eat and drink enough during the ride so went home and made myself the post ride usual meal.

new tires, brake pads and full gravel bike scrub down are in order this week.

Rode to Rutgers Ecological Preserve and then meandered back to my local trails (Edith Stevens) via the Zombie Greenway and another section of local trail that @pygmypony has curated. It’s been a while since I’ve had a “long” ride. I need to make time to do it more often.

Zombie Greenway: an abandoned Conrail right of way that is contiguous with the Middlesex Greenway and passes through what was known as the Dismal Swamp ans was recently designated as the Brendan Byrne Nature Preserve.

@Johnny Utah - question - is gravel included in Dirt bonus? Asking for a friend...
