Chimney Rock Conditions

Excluding blue and the connector with Cromwell, which area would you like most to have the wet/mud spots resolved?
Hmmm, good question. The climb on orange from Gilbride right after the rock slab comes to mind. That section is like a stream bed for days after any precipitation. And red has that stubborn spot on the climb up from Newmans, that one flat section takes forever to dry out near the big tree stump turn.

two good trouble spots.

on orange, we've had a bit of success from years ago - that trail went straight up - when we changed it to switchbacks, the old trail became a stream. I'm not sure our little bridges are still in-place. I pulled into the Gilbride lot one day with a pick-up truck full of wood. Ranger was sitting there. asked me what that was for, I didn't lie, it wasn't for that area.

That location on red was moved up about 6' from an even flatter spot!
There was also trees where the trail goes between the stumps....damn, the good ole days..😀
