Chinese carbon.... ouch

is there a legit reason not to run carbon in the cold?
No. And never ask that again. Lol.

Sorry. Long post about that.
^ What he said.
There has been much heated debate on the topic here, which is silly really,
because everyone knows that below 32* carbon becomes brittle and subject to unannounced catastrophic failure.

(No, not really)

I don’t mind china carbon hardtails. I can’t trust the knock off full suspensions though. Some of the links are so thin and just look poorly designed. And like Ryan mentioned, they typically don’t come with shocks. I remember looking at some spec sheets that didn’t specify a size, so you’re kind of yoloing it. Definitely not going to perform well in many regards. I only have 800 or so 2nd owner miles on a knock of carbon Stache and it’s been great everywhere.
Even a lot of big brands have aluminum rears on carbon triangles, so that tells you something.

not saying all chinese carbon is the same but i had a set of nextie wheels for 3yrs and 3k mi+ of HARD riding, bike parks and everything in between. i eventually cracked them but it got my moneys worth. my rims and my friends nobl rims both had the same shipping address, makes you wonder.
