Clean Start

There is a premium level, but you'd think they would let data providers in on that.

they used to give data providers ad-free access to the app and website (obviously only when logged in), but that went away (in the app only, im still ad-free on my desktop)

I have grown to like it other than the main daily summary doesn’t show wind

Unless they fixed it. The 2020 update split all the metrics up into multiple graphs, without a clear index.

I installed the older version, happy with it.

Bring able to quickly see the amount of precipitation and what hours is why I use the app.

Oh hey, How all y'all?

If the forum update turned out as planned, you should be seeing less errors, and fewer broken pictures.
The error log is showing no program errors, just a few config errors mostly caused by bots.
I felt like the computer guy for a few days there.

Pat's alter ego

I've been off the bike for a couple weeks. Kinda sucks after a solid set of zwift rides through dec and jan,
and even a few outside ones. Biggest problem is i can't stop eating! I made it through Christmas
without any big gains, and then BOOM. about 7 lbs in the last two months.

Or in pictures, from the average of April of 2017 to now.
Looking at the first measurements in this blog, appears that the start was around 188.

So, HOH is on the plate for 6 weeks out. I'm thinking a little push to get back into the 170s would be nice.
That starts today. I may even lift some weights or do a push-up. Who knows, but the spare tire has to go.
Keep an eye out for updates, and if you see me housing a bag of peanut butter cups, please stop me.

Also finished up season 1 of Why Women Kill on CBS All Access. Really well written.
If you liked the pace and plot wandering of Six Feet Under, you'll probably like this.
Solid couples viewing. Thanks @Norm.

I'll buy a new bike if i can get back to 170 - maybe in time for Lucky's Revenge......

stop bailing on fun friday rides, next time its just us we are going to do FAST friday 😛

thatll burn some of those lbs off!!!!!!!!!

(ill also house the bag of pb cups for you when we finish, you know, to eliminate the temptation 😉 )

I'm kinda in the same boat, but minus the zwift winter rides.
Been only on a bike this year to either check the seatpost height, practicing manuals (not going so well) or moving them around the house. Cranbury 200k again this year and it's only two short months away. Time to get the heart rate up and get some saddle time. Today was also the first day back at the gym. Light workout including the rower, which surprisingly does a number for the core. One good thing is that I've been skipping breakfast and been doing the 16hr fasting diet for the past month. No obvious weight changes, first couple days were tough but survived with about a dozen cups of coffee. But I'm back to 2-3 day. Next is to reduce portion size. I eat fairly healthy, so don't plan to count calories or some extreme diet. I'm still allowing for 2 beers a week to be normal.

Coffee -
I was hammering coffee for the last couple months - a cup with an espresso shot, then another cup, then....perhaps up to 6?
dialed it back to two with no extra shot. no headache, and saving on the beans!

Breakfast -
I've been eating so badly, and drinking too much, so I know why. It isn't breakfast.
Last weight loss cycle, i was eating a bowl of greek yogurt for breakfast, and shrinking dinner.
(and not drinking!!)

Today
2 cups coffee + GNC shake for b'fast
1 apple-fig bar around 11
1 builder bar around 2 - before ride.
reasonable amount of pasta and meatballs for dinner

64oz of water
no snacking, and i'm feeling good - probably because of the workout.

Ride
20 miles, my watch didn't record my hr! damn, and i tried to go hard up a couple of the hills..

think i'll jump in the hottub.

gl in the rando. maybe will join if you do it again next year....or the year after when my kid is off to school

+1 for losing winter fitness. After having 2019 being my top fitness year ever (well mostly due to extra time off) I fell off the map in December even though I was walking 35K steps per day my cardio went to shit even though I dropped to my lowest weight in forever - 179.5 at 6'2" is hard to get back to if ever.

Then Jan until now I am so inconsistent a few weeks ago i was back to 191 with all the crap and stress eating I was doing, since it was a habit because usually I ride enough to offset it. The last 2-3 weeks I cut out basically all the crap and junk food and put less sugar in my tea. Combined with forcing myself back on Zwift a few days a week and doing some moderate hard interval sessions I am back down to 186 or so which is probably around where I was before I worked for UPS in December.

I doubted myself on yesterdays ride several times but I feel good knowing that even though I might not be as fast as I was a few months ago, I still have the strength, endurance and mindset to get it done. I am considering my first Rando event as well in April but I can only potentially make the BATSTO 200K if I decide to do it, and that highly depends on the time spent with the new job starting March 16. Might be able to make it since I always need a target and it would be something new/longest distance ride ever. HoH is a no go for me this year due to the date but I am sure you will crush it.

So don't beat yourself up just go back to the little changes (like you already mentioned) and since you did it before you can do it again. Thanks for sharing its good we can all keep each other accountable without shaming here (unless the shaming is funny then its OK 😛)

in for jokes too!

You're So Fat Insults

You're so fat that when you got on the scales they said I need your weight not your phone number"

You're so fat that an oragami crane has less folds than you.

You are so fat that when you wear a yellow raincoat people shout out "taxi"

You're so fat that you have to go out to the driveway to iron your trousers.

You're so fat that when you get dressed you have to use a boomerang to put your belt.

You're so fat that your favourite necklace is the food chain.

You're so fat that you sat on a memory foam and it immediately forgot.

You're so fat that when you fell over no one was laughing but the ground sure was cracking up.

You are so fat that when you step on the scales it says "to be continued".

You are so fat that you don't need the internet, you are already worldwide.

You're so fat that when you went sunbathing at the beach, greenpeace came along and pushed you back in the ocean.

Growing up in a Italian Jewish Chinese neighborhood in NYC, our favorites were either more chins than a Chinese phone book or more rolls/bialys than an Italian/Jewish bakery. Wow, despite the madness there 40 years ago, all seems quieter and gentler than now. Magic of youth I guess, continue to find the kid in you from time to time. Yay bikes

Is a "cup" of coffee 8oz or 16oz?

probably closer to 6oz, and uses the same amount of pressed grounds as a shot of espresso.

Think i mentioned this around the time of my last dr visit - he asked how much coffee i drank, and i told him 4-5,
and he made a face. i realized he had a 12oz wawa with him.....

ok, I was going to say, 6 would be heart explosion material for me. I do a 16 oz cup after my ride, sometimes, usually on the weekends, i have a second. If I were to have a third, mys resting pulse would probably be 120.

Well, I'm on my way. Where? I dunno.

Especially after yesterdays 2+ hour hike on Round Mountain in Hunterdon County with @Mare45.

We were ready for heavy trail maintenance with the saw, and all gloved up. By the time we found something to actually clear,
it was almost dark with fog, and it is dangerous at night on the moors. There is more exploring to do south of the YMCA, and northwest of our
track. There is also a powerline cut with a path under it. Has mtb written all over it.

Weighed in at 183.9 today (it sounds better than 184) - and with just a few lbs gone, i feel better!
No beer the last couple of days, will keep the streak alive until Friday, since i received a nice gift the other day.

Food Yesterday.
Breakfast: Greek yogurt. I always find this very filling, and hangs with me for a bunch of hours
2.5 cups of coffee. I actually tossed some down the drain BTW, i drink it black, so zero calories, just the drugs.
Blueberry-fig bar around 11:00
Protein bar around 2:30 pre-hike - this is a 280 cal post workout bar i'm using for meal replacement. Cho-Mint. Yum
Dinner: Some pasta with steak sliced over it. Marinara sauce. 4oz red wine.

Fell asleep on the couch around 10:00 watching the Netflix docu-series Babies. About parent/baby interaction, how kids learn, some universal behaviors
we don't think about. Kinda geeky, but good stuff, it got skewered here. Any time you can get a 2 day old in a motion tracking suit, it has to be good!
There is one on the brain which relates behavior and cognition. https://www.netflix.com/title/81098586 - you can see what the different drugs are doing
to correct imbalances. I've been mildly interested in this stuff since college, and my abundance of psych courses.
