Cleaning humidifier solenoid questions

My Aprilaire humidifier keeps running water even when the furnace isn’t blowing. I suspect the solenoid is either stuck open or defective. I found this video on how to test it and clean it but have some questions before getting started.

1) looking at my valve, is removing it as simple as shutting off the water feed and unscrewing the nuts on the inflow/outlow lines (eg if I unscrew them can they be reused?)

2) speaking of shutting off the water feed, see this pic. There is a manual valve (red circle) and something else with an electrical connection (blue circle). I’m assuming shutting of the manual valve is sufficient but any idea what the blue circled valve does?

Thanks in advance. Apologies for what may be basic questions.

Update: that “manual” valve doesn’t turn on its own. I assume it’s electrically controlled. I traced the wires to a box called “FloodStop”. Pressed the button for “close” and nothing happened. For now I’ve just turned the humidifier to “off” and will try to reset it in the AM

I have got that same humidifier but not the flood stop. I’d assume you can change the solenoid the way it shows tho I haven’t had to do any maintenance on this one except change the water pad.

But if that isn’t ironic timing after I read this thread and looked up “flood stop”.

After my Zwift session this morning I was heading back upstairs to get ready for work and stepped in a puddle by the furnace in my socks. Condensate drain line was clogged where it empties into the French drain and backed up until it was leaking up by the humidifier unit itself. If I had something like this it would have shut the water off.
