I dont recall ever having issues with them just moved on to stuff that was "better " I guessThose Onza pictures are almost giving me PTSD...
I went through pretty much every type of clipless pedal back then, starting with the "no-float" Shimano (636?), then those gawd awful Onzas, then first gen Time ATAC, then Shimano 747, then finally Crank Bros Egg Beaters. Been running CB pedals ever since.
I drove by here last night. The L&S Five & Dime building (on Main St) has been torn down for the Union Hotel project and that old M&D building was right behind it. It is now a pile of dirt 😕

Is the Higgins newsstand still there😳
Yes, Higgins was one door North of the Union Hotel. The old L&S and M&D were two doors South. Is the Higgins newsstand still there😳
I had some brutal experiences with them - mainly during the winter when those elastomers would get cold and decide to not let you unclip. I had more "Oh shit! Can't unclip!!" episodes with those Onzas than with all other pedals I have used before and since combined.I dont recall ever having issues with them just moved on to stuff that was "better " I guess

I guess I was lucky to be living in CA when I used them didn't have to deal with cold!I had some brutal experiences with them - mainly during the winter when those elastomers would get cold and decide to not let you unclip.
