Ok I think I'm into this. I have an old Karate Monkey I don't ride very often and I'd like to take off the super aggressive tires I have on it now and move them to my son's bike. Then make the KM more of a light duty speedster...

I've never tried this before, I know in theory I should be able to put 700 tires on these 29er rims and I think the bike is old enough that the rim width is more old school, but any suggestions for confirming this before I make a trip and buy them? Magically, without removing the tires on them now would be great. They're Stans ztr Arch ex29 and they are currently wearing 2.3" tires, that's their limit iirc from my LBS

I’d be interested in the old Karate Monkey is it’s LG or XL. If not interested in selling/trading for it you should be able to run gravel 700c tires with no issues. Please PM me if interested.
