online or lbs

This week I ordered online from 2 place. Kiefer (swimming) and nashbar. The kiefer was first time ordering and I bought some budget kiefer products. The nashbar was not entirely what I wanted as the tire (vittoria) siad like a tubular when it is a tubular. I sent them back bought caught a sale on michellen mtb tires 5.99 each. I scored 4 .

Anyway took 2 mtb to lbs this week and bought some schwag. I am interest in going tubular one day but for now I am a clincher kind of guy. on my mtb I have lbs putting on flat handle bar.

the annual check up

Went for my annual physical today and my doctor was amazed at my resting heart rate of 37 bpm, down 1 beat from when he checked it last year. Also my weight was down a bit to 162 lbs. 2 years ago I was 165 and he said that is a good weight for me since I was nearly 200 lbs 3 years ago before I started cycling regularly.

The past couple of months I started lap swimming more regularly as well as cycling, running and the weights.

I would like to get below 160 lbs and keep it there:popcorn:

How tall are you?

How tall are you?

Only 5' 9.5". Cat 3 guys can be 160 if they are 6 ft or taller. I would be the bottom of a cat 5. But I don't road race. Only tri (f.l.) and duathlon (mtn man). In club rides I'm an a minus or strong b*.

My latest medical saga is I am going to an orthopaedic doc for collar bone broke 2 years ago from bike accident.

Also. I'll be 47 in august so the 37 resting heart is low for my age:popcorn:

There still is a noise near the crank, I think it is the bmx pedals. Soon I'll put the spd pedals with the rubber padding back on.

My michellin tires come I think I will run;

Wheelset 2; 1.9" front and back

Wheel set 1: 2" front and 1.9" in back

If I start going to rocky places 2.4 conti up front on #1:popcorn:

my mtb commutation & the pesky pedal

Commuted to work today and clanking squeek from the pesky (bmx) pedals is no more as I put the shimano spd pedals back on the mtb.

Hope to commute to work at least once a week if not more. Basicly my commute each way is 30 minutes, so at the end of the day I get in my hour of exercise in my favorite mode (bicycle). Already got in some weights and swimming today. As a triathlete the only thing missing is the run and since my achillies heel has been achy, I am chilling out on the run til saturdays fl brick

after taking the trek to lbs and having him adjust the kotter pin on my yukon fx juicy brakes. i took my giant tcr advanced formula one to check out my new hutchinson tires as my broke 3 tubes last night, the tires only take 100 lbs and are training tire i sent the vitoria race tires back to nash bar since they are tubless (ad said like tubeless when in reality is tubeless)

this picture is just after i put in tube #4 flatted coming down moonachie ave (near teterboro) airport). i have some worn conti's (blue ones i'll put on, go to campmore or texas cyclesport)

at the end of the day in i took the mtb to ceres (gloucester county, nj), hardly could get front wheel w/break caliper issues, and my flat bars are not flat enough,to keep ram mount for delrome in place, but i think today was the first day ever i rode all 3 of my bikes
