OK. WTF......I have held off long enough but this crap is getting ridiculous. When I first started mtb'n it was my dream to ride as much single track as i could find. Well what the hell has happened to single track these days? Or maybe i should say what the hell is wrong with these days removing objects or rerouting trails?? I grew up in ringwood. And now in west milford. I ride all over now. Trails i will never mention. So why have so many mtbr's today want to make things easier?? Building piles over logs and making routes around technical stuff? I'm not saying every mtbr here does it but there has got to be quite a few here who do so. It has really gotten to me that people want to put an effort into doing this when they can use it on becoming a better mtbr.. I use to remember riding at ringwood in single track. But apparently there is very little clean single track left there. And where there is it won't be for long unless people stop doing this crap. And now i prefer not to ride there anymore. Come on!!!! WHO is with me on this???? Can anybody list some ideas on how keep this in order?? I guess I'll leave the "Idiots who decided to start making freeride drops on the sky lands trail in ringwood" to another day.... It's ashame that Art and Ellen busted their asses off making that trail for us mtbrs to enjoy. Then some retards destroyed it putting those stupid ass drops all over it......JESUS.....:get some:.......Seriously people. Heck, this is an never ending battle...

Big Issue

This has been an issue for a long time- I don't agree that they should not be on Mountian Bikes but they should get off and walk if they won't attempt to ride it. This is not evolution but rather destruction of the work that people do.

We are talking about re routes- Manny...yeah you- if no one on this site will call you out I will- There is no reason you should be out there making reroutes at Ramapo. And what's worse is that you think that you are clearing trails is even worse- if you're going to ride before TM can get there you better be hopping trees and not making new reroutes...shamefull...

This is about all of us on this site self patroling ourselves on the trails. All we are going to have left soon is fireroads...if you see someone moving, buidling, or taking freatures out of our trails say something- this is a site that people read- maybe you could use it for some good...

Well what the hell has happened to single track these days? Or maybe i should say what the hell is wrong with these sloppyass mtbers who really should not be on a mtb at all. I grew up in ringwood. And now in west milford. I ride all over now. Trails i will never mention. I can ride anything period. And the only reason why i can is because i worked my ass off attempting to ride stuff that i never thought i would. But that has changed cause i have balls. So why have so many mtbr's today become such *******, building piles over logs and making routes around technical stuff? I'm not saying every mtbr here does it but there has got to be quite a few here who do so. It has really gotten to me that lazy mountain bikers have began doing this crap. I use to remember riding at ringwood in single track. But apparently there is very little single track left there. And where there is it won't be for long. And now i prefer not to ride there anymore. I really wish people who can't ride mtbs should just stick to road bikes if they got to ride around techy stuff or build lame ass ramps to ride over logs. Come on!!!! WHO is with me on this???? Can't we start a group against lame ass mtbrs??? And i'm gonna relax now and not even go into the "Idiots who decided to start making freeride jumps on the sky lands trail in ringwood that used to be so nice , that Art and Ellen busted their asses making so fine for us mtbrs to enjoy until some retards destroyed it putting those stupid ass drops all over it......JESUS.....:get some:.......Seriously people. "IF YOU CANT RIDE SOMETHING AND DON'T WANT TO ATTEMPT IT, THEN WALK IT OR JUST DON'T MTB, CAUSE YOUR NEVER GOING TO BE GOOD AT IT"

Dude, hit up Johnathan woods in denville, most techy log section in NJ.

That's funny. All the re-routes done were because huge freakn’ trees were totally blocking the trail. This meant you either climbed over/under it or plain not ride period. I don’t care how good you imagine yourself being you weren't riding over it. And let’s not forget safety.

And just to clue you in Ellen and Art White (JORBA park reps) are fully aware and support my efforts. So unless you have something of real value to add I wouldn't be to quick to call people out.

We've been down this road (trail) before. You're not going to get anyone on here to take you seriously. This website seems to be more about belonging to some kind of stupid cult/club than about mtbing.

Very few people on this website see the reroutes as a problem (probably because they're relieved that they don't have to try the challenging lines anymore - and then they can brag about how great they ride and how they cleared a whole section of trail.)

The reroutes were a big issue on this site back a few months ago, and anybody who spoke up against them was just shot down and ridiculed by the "big" names here. It's a damn shame...

Oh, and Manny:
The problem with the reroutes you've done is that while they start out as "temporary" reroutes, they become permanent, and nobody removes the offending obstacle to bring the trail back to whole.

I hear you Johnny. I don't want them to become permanent either. That's why I'm documenting them so that I can follow up with Art to come with his chainsaw and remove them. I don't see it happening for a long time because of the amount of trees that need to be addressed. (Hence the need of the temp re-route) But trust me I will follow-up and have them removed.
