Down Jersey 2023 Fat Bike Ride : Sunday 9:00 am DEC.24 XMAS EVE day

Post up if you plan on riding Sunday. They are predicting 50-60 mph winds by 2-3 pm but rain starting in morning. Let me know if you think it’s worth it or should we re schedule again.. and it looks like rain next Sunday also. Lol lol I can’t catch a break..
Soooooo, 100% chance of rain and you want to ride single track? If it was double track and firecuts maybe but that much wind is gonna knock tree limbs off. Only Sandman would show for the ride and not if you’re riding single track.

Rain:
50% at 9:00
70% at 10:00
80% at 11:00

Single track is the first 30 minutes

I was hoping to do the 25 miles by 11:30.

Just joking… sort of.. lol lol

Anyway, I guess I’ll call it and postpone to another Sunday when it’s not gonna rain or have such high winds.

On the road to come home:: Torrential down pour three minutes out of the north end parking lot for about ten minutes. I giggled to myself a little bit then shook my head. Whhheeeww that was close. Lol lol

Post up if you plan on attending.

@Breck and I just clipped thorns out of 3 miles more of trail.

If I feel like it tomorrow morning I’ll recon the WLM area to assess and clear damages. There may or may not be some cyclocross “lift the bike over some obstacles” Sunday.

And water.

Some have asked about pace.

Should average about 9mph rolling time for the ride

Regroup at every turn unless we’re all on board.

A little rain at the beginning.
But a great ride with moderate amount of standing water. Just such a beautiful area.

Sorry about not finding the north end lot. I wish you would have let me know before hand if you didn’t know where to park. I was there @ 8:50. Breck got there shortly there after.

Mrs. tankhead provided lunch. Ya missed out @sandman !!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I had a great time today, Tankhead. Thank you for putting the ride together. Please thank you wife again for bringing us the pizza. That was a great surprise.

Hopefully we can put together some more group rides in this Atlantic, Cape, Cumberland area soon.
