Dropper Cable Length w/ Integrated Headset

I'm setting up my daughter's Cannondale Scalpel and I need to install the dropper cable. Of course this bike has that new-fangled integrated headset. I'm curious how to handle the dropper cable length? On a "normal" bike I would just turn the bars straight with the dropped installed to seat height and cut the cable for a clean sweep to the lever. Then to remove the seat I would just turn the bars to the right to create the slack to pull the dropper from the seat tube. With the integrated headset, turning the bars doesn't change the effective cable length. I guess I have to have the cable out of the seat tube enough to service the dropper and then cut the bar end? Then the resulting excess at the bar "is what it is"?

Am I making any sense? lol

Can’t you just trim it there? Slide the cable out and cut the housing.

I must be misunderstanding the issue.

Edit: this is why I bought an Epic Evo. I can’t deal with this integrated cable. BS.
