Finished the Surron and got to rip this thing around the block and holy fuck, I have no idea why anyone would buy a mountain bike. If you’re gonna cheat, CHEAT!! I had it at 45mph on the sidewalk in Summit and it’s terrifying. Some kid is gonna kill himself in South Mountain on this thing but his dad seemed super on board. Maybe looking to move in with his Secretary or something at this point?

So im reading on the internets....6000w, 123lbs....is that what this one is that you built?

I was in the city yesterday and never saw so many regular motorcycle and motor scooter riders not wearing helmets. They must figure the police can't tell the difference anymore.

Utter BS, my specialized Kenevo is a motor cycle…… a bike with a motor. My Transition Sentinel is a mountain bike. Any bike with a motor or without is acoustic if you beat it with a hammer.😳

I hear ya.

I took a cruise up to the old hood in Point Pleasant with my fat bike, for the most part I have not ridden that area and Allaire for a year or so.

To cut to the chase, on the Manasquan Bike path I got passed by two electric scooters that had to be doing 30mph + as I was doing 14mph and they FLEW by me. I was impressed with how fast these things go, but then watched a runner with headphones on almost get impaled by the thing and it’s 250lb rider.

When I got up to Allaire there was a group with e-bikes. Two were the type that you would use to get around town, three others were fitted with DH bike suspension and wheels that looked like they came off a competitive 50cc motorcycle - the riders were kitted in full mx gear. They looked like a 50cc racing bikes.

Both places had signs posted noted “no motorized vehicles”

I didn’t say anything to anyone because I frankly do not have the energy anymore and wtf am I too. My worry is more in the area of this: at the speeds these things move accidents are waiting to happen. I ride moto, but am in no way shape or form looking out for something that moves that fast and makes no noise on a bike path. Same for Allaire.

I will also note, as I get older or if I get hurt and can’t ride as well I am sure I will buy one. But it will be interesting to see how the law looks at e-bikes in the years to come.

It’s shark week, don’t be the guy to get eaten by a shark on shark week. Stay out of the water!😬
That's what I am wondering. First weekend in a while where we didn't have rain, beautiful day, and no one is in the water?
Rip tide? Jellyfish? Cold surf temp?
