gluten-free beer

Any suggested gluten free beers? I like darker beers...porters and stouts are my favorites. I tried the DFH Tweason Ale...bit too fruity for me.

I have been noticing some pop up in my local shop-
I think they may be New Planet Beer Company- I'll check next time.

For better-known breweries, there's a few offerings that might be worth a look:
5-GF beers worth drinking (includes Tweasonal... so only 4 I guess)
And Lake Front Brewery has a GF pilsner I believe.
I haven't tried any of these to vouch for them,
but going by the breweries' reps, they would be worth a shot.

Im not sure about commercial GF dark beers...... Since most of the roasty flavors come from dark roasted malts....

It can be brewed with Sorghum instead of barley, with dark candi sugars for color and caramel flavors.

Get Fred to brew you a batch. Buy this and hand it to him.... 😀

U bring it...Ill brew it!

I have another friend who was on my but about a gluten free beer :hmmm::hmmm::hmmm: ill see if I can create something fun and tasty.

I was surprised I liked tweason ale. Not normally my cup of tea but tasty none the less!

Time to make some mead or cider. B. Nektars zombie killer is pretty tastey! Also had a pear mead which was really good, not overly sweet. I forget who makes it but theres a hopped mead out there too. I was'nt a big fan only because the hop character didn't show through the mead. This one was too sweet, i think if they hopped it a bunch more it'd be tastey though.

If you don't have celiac disease, it's unlikely that you're going to get any health benefit from going gluten-free; so drink real beer IMO.

Robin: in my 19+ months of gluten free living I have not found a decent gluten free beer. I drink wine.
