Going Long and Hard.

1/25

Bicycle Recovery Day. Which is nice because it's raining and it's too warm for rain gear and too cold to get wet. Spent like 2 and change hours in the basement doing all of the things.

I've been doing this little core thing I got from Bicycling Mag that Selene wrote and have been doing that every few days. It's so short I never log it though. I downloaded some app that has a 30 day Routine and you follow along each day. It's still pretty short but has a timer and log for each day so it feels more official. Again, it's not cycling specific but benefits are there.

Shakedown ride for Wendigo. Loaded the bike last night and settled on the kit I'll ride, finally. Had a query in the Race Director to confirm my Bivy and stove selection. Given my winter experience we agreed that I can run a really light rig and be better equipped than most.

Only really added the half-frame bag and Nalgene to the previous version. There are plenty of spots to stop on the way out to the turn-around so my plan is to fill the entire bike for the return trip to possibly take advantage of someone stopping.

Pretty straight forward day. Sit at 240-250 watts until I hit 5k Kj. Legs felt great all day, could've pushed a lot harder.

Commute to work. Then to a NICA meeting in New Brunswick. Then home.

More goodies from the mothership. This is actually a production post with a custom factory tune. I'm not sure what's different but the test is for a year, and I can't service or bleed it. You know, like all you guys!!
