Going Long and Hard.

Is he a Dentist? My money is on Dentist.

He's Italian so I figure this all a front and he's a Mob Boss. He has 2 houses in Short Hills across the street from each other for his friends to use when they're in town. Probably has a yard filled with bodies.

Looks like we're getting some rain for at least the first 1/2 of tomorrow's 200k. I threw on a 3rd cage to run a Repair Keg and will pack some rain gear into my Pika Revelate on the saddle. I have a feeling the route isn't gonna be super fast so might as well have a little layers buffer.

This ride was difficult. Seemed like a ton of DNFs.

I went away with the lead group, there were 7 of us. At some point I realized my fitness wasn't quite ready to match their pace so I dropped off the group.

Maybe 20ish miles in it started to rain pretty good. Eventually it was a whipping hail and forced me to stop and put on my rain gear. Yes, I started in shorts and SS Jersey 🤣

Before the 1st Control, 1/2 of that front group turned around and went home.

It rained pretty much up to the Turn-Around. Then it was 60 and sunny for the rest of the ride.

I'm not writing anymore things because I'm tired.

Proper Recovery Day. Spent the evening in NYC with the eldest to see Animals as Leaders. Always phenomenal. Every time I see them you have remind yourself there's only 3 of them, and none of them are bass players.

Nothing better then hanging with your tribe at live tribal beats, way to keep your tradition with your kid.
