Going Long and Hard.

I started working with Coach Art. We met at the ITI and hit it off pretty well because we were the only metalheads. First session was this morning and I feel like I'm dying, which I think is good.

Train Heroic does indeed suck. He's going to send the workouts through there and if I have questions I can just text him.

As a specialized dealer are you allowed to sell stuff and ship it? I can’t find any pathfinder pro 42mm tires local enough time.

Initial impressions on the STR are good. I really wanted to hate this bike but it does everything it's supposed to do and then some. Like the Futureshock up front, you don't notice the rear suspension at all. On steeper climbs you can feel it rock a bit but that's about it. It is surprisingly stiff overall, my Crux is definitely a more compliant bike. But the STR is designed to be a race bike so I'd expect that. All I did was set my saddle height and throw a Mirror Saddle on and went for a 14 hour bike ride. Zero fit or fatigue issues. Thankfully it doesn't come with a stupid flared bar.

I wish it had a rack mount so you can Bikepack with a sleepsystem. I was only able to bring a change of clothes and my Credit Card, ala Rando Style Bikepacking.

I'm gonna debag it and hit Bedminster hard to see if it's faster than the Crux on a normal gravel ride.
