Going Long and Hard.

Follow-up #1. This was just to establish the Medemerge next to my house as my Primary so they can take care of the Insurance and PT prescription. Seems really dumb that the HOSPITAL can’t take care of that but here we’re are. In America.

I have made minimal PT progress on my own. I can’t lift my leg still but I took the arm rest off the walker and can put pressure on my leg at least. I made it to Medemerge and back, including a set of stairs without too much problem.

Finished all the Pixar movies and waiting for my wife to come home to watch Wicked.

What's your favorite after rewatching them? Mine are a toss up between Wall:E and Ratatouille. I'm sure you've watched Miyazaki movies, maybe bing on Ghibli next?

My first Dream Theater show and my face is officially melted.

Fucking Killer. Would have been funny to run into you 😜

Sweet!! First time I’ve missed a tour since 1993.

My dad and I had an awesome time with your tickets last night! We've seen them at least 10 times but haven't been paying attention at all lately and didn't even know they were on their 40th anniversary tour. My dad very much enjoyed having seats, and he mentioned several times having to stand all night to see them at the Birch Hill Nightclub a million years ago. I guess we should start listening to the new album and then go see them again in the fall.

The new album is a banger. They usually do the same tour for a couple years so I’ll catch them next round. I’ve seen them in tiny venues back in the day and even from backstage a couple times as 2 of my old band mates were sound guys.

UP and WallE. Monsters inc is probably 3rd. Coco is up there too. I don’t watch any anime. Closest I’ll do is the last air bender. We’re going through the Alien Franchise now. Which inspired this morning’s doodle.

Hmm, I'm surprised, John Lasseter has often mentioned the Miyazaki movies are inspirations to many Pixar films. This think the story telling is uniquely different from your Disney type movies where it's just another fairy tale, Pixar was a game changer. I often forget I'm watching an animation.

Since Disney hired John you can see a lot better story telling in the newer movies. And Jennifer does a great job also. Frozen 1 and 2 are prime examples. Not Disney Princess movies at all.

Miyazaki is Ghibli. And it is all awesome. You won’t find anything trippier than the cat bus, well maybe no face, or maybe the stink spirit, or maybe Yubabas bouncing heads, or maybe the witch of the waste, or maybe Howel’s bird form……

Like UP. The first part of that movie is gut wrenching.

Watched my Dad live that.
Hits hard.

Just watched Flow. The game is changing in animation. So all about the story. It is especially significant now. There will always be adversity.

I did enjoy Cars. The knowledge from experience should never be lost. Confidence is fleeting. Too predicable tho, like finding Nemo which has some moments, And @Robin's avatar?

I have to watch Flow. I did watch Wild Robot and that’s amazing too.

Watched Flow this morning. It was good. My ADHD had me sort of drifting off with it being silent and all. But I liked it.

Then I hobbled into the Guitar area for the 1st time to see how that would work. I can sit in that chair for maybe an hour right now, and my hand is still sort of busted so…still gonna start working on the new Dream Theater.

Today’s doodle after 30 minutes on the exercise cranks.

Been playing phone tag with the home PT people. The lady that calls and leaves messages for me is NOT the lady I need to call back, that’s some scheduler service that forwards the lady that calls me a message that I called. They’re trying to schedule my initial home assessment to make sure I can get around OK, like I’ve been doing for almost 2 weeks. America.
