Group Ride Hartshorne 12/8 Sunday

So my plans changed for the better and seems like I could actually make this ride Sunday. Just never been to this trail before.

Haven’t been on the MTB in a few months but the fitness from road/gravel is still good. Based on the video above (nice work @smann !) aside from the skinnies which I don’t do, this looks manageable and flowy for my advanced beginner skills?
Yes you got this.
Go have fun.

Just be aware I only showed the downhills 🙂 But yeah I’ve brought beginners through and it’s all about managing your energy. What gets most ppl at Hart is that burning out on the uphills. So take it easy on the uphills and manage speed on the down. And you are always either climbing or descending.

Most definitely go, go, go.

Seeing the radar says rain down there this morning and then 20+ mph winds.

How much rain and would that make the trails slippery ? I don’t do well if There’s wet roots or rocks.

Out. Woke up still not feeling well. Don’t want to make everyone sick. Have fun today, folks!

Awesome Day! Thanks @rottin' for leading.

Fun ride today! I usually ride Hartshorne every week but haven't been able to get over here in about a month. Absence makes the flow flowee-er.

Thanks ride leaders @rottin' @Mitch , we had 3 solid groups, with good times had.

That's a wrap for the 2024 group ride series, thank you everyone for coming out last year. We'll be back in 2025 starting in January, stay tuned for details. Keep riding and enjoy the Holidays!

Wow what a day!!

Thanks @Mitch and @Juggernaut we had such a great group and you guys were awesome leaders.

Thanks @pooriggy for organizing and all the other ride leaders/sweeps.

it was great meet so many people on here IRL and get back on my MTB. Never rode these trails before and it was a great mix of challenges and flow. Good to see some others on hard tails too and super impressive with Mitch on the SS. Totally worth the hour drive south.

I don’t remember everyone but I got a few cool pics during the ride.

Now watching some football and doing some preventative recovery.

Thanks man! Was a big help to follow your lines today.

Those were a nice gift from my closest riding friends a few years back when I turned 50. They make a HUGE difference when I am too tired or lazy to do stretching.
