I was curious so looked up states with legal rec weed but didn't know Portland Maine is legal? anyone check out the cafe's there? most illegal stuff around used to be so terrible that it wasn't worth the trouble, kind of like if only beers to choose from were Bud and Miller. I'd imagine the options now in the legal spots must be so much better. I find myself in Amsterdam every few years so my expectations are pretty high. can anyone compare what's legally available now in the states?

The legalization has sparked an industry of all things weed. You can get the best quality weed, candy, oil for vaping, etc... If you're going to Amsterdam for just the weed, you're wasting your time and Money.

no usually for business in Belgium, Holland or Denmark, there's also other legal activities for those interested, but so does Vegas. overall Amsterdam is a fun stop, but only for a day or two, many other better cities nearby IMO
Was there back in 2000. This was the best part of the trip and I visited most of the seedy sites within the city. Some of those memories I can't get rid of. Didn't get to the Heineken tour though......
