Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

My son and I hit it up after work last night, fast with good flow. Interestingly, it was not very crowded. I went a few weeks ago same time and barely found a spot to park.

So dry and loose, sketchy today. Hoping Tuesday's rain is slow and steady and not massive downpour that would wash the trails down into the Shrewsbury River.

Rode Hartshorne on Sunday morning. Got a bit crowded with hikers and runners, but not bad and everyone played nicely. Trails are dry dry dry; sandy parts turning into sand traps. But otherwise a great ride.

Perfect conditions, trails and sand nice and tacky no mud.
Both lots filled, mostly hikers and dog walkers that forgot the leash for their mutts

I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I've actually seen a dog ON a leash there.

Road huber and hartshorne last night. Huner was great as always and hartshorne was very dry and dusty with acorns in spots to top it off and make it challenging. Had fun though and those challenging conditions are what make you a better rider....get out and ride bros!

Agree with other posters. Hartshorne never disappoints. But trails are very dry; sand traps are sandier, lots of loose dirt/gravel/rocks. Need rain please.

The falling acorns are adding to the loose areas. I got stopped near the top of a climb today and couldn't get started again... It was like trying to ride up a mound of marbles 🙂

Where are the squirrels when you need them? Seriously, my deck is littered with acorns and I haven't seen any squirrels lately. Eaten by hawks?

Hartshorne was fine yesterday. No mud anywhere, but there are 4 or 5 new downed trees, mostly in Rocky Point area.
